I have dedicated the last three years to the study of health-preserving Tai Chi and Qigong, acting as an apprentice to one of China’s most famous Daoist Tai Chi masters in the Wudang Mountains. I am inspired by the psychological effects of movement. I specialise in Sports Specifics, Mauy Thai kickboxing and pad work, all health-preserving practices.
I combine soft Wudang Daoist arts and modern Western sports science to offer a new holistic approach to health and fitness.
“I have been working with Nathan for the last two months and have found him to be a terrific trainer. He is calm and thoughtful and happy to explain any aspect of the training. My main goals were to increase my flexibility and balance, both of which have improved substantially in two months. I have also lost well over a stone in weight during this period. My wife got so tired of listening to me singing Nathan’s praises as a trainer that she has just started working with him and is equally happy with his approach” Peter S. Brown, Chelsea
If you ask what fitness means to me, I’ll say that it’s my life. Ballet, Scaravelli Yoga, Vipasana Meditation, mat Pilates, kettlebells and fitness training are just a few of the disciplines I’ve studied. I am always looking for the best ways to nurture my clients’ potential.
Personal training is a two-way commitment – you commit to believing that you can change and set your goals and I commit to finding specific training that you enjoy and leads you towards achieving those goals. I believe that each of us needs bespoke training that pushes us towards positive change in an enjoyable way.
I’m a skilled personal trainer with a Sports Science Degree and with an extensive knowledge in weight loss programmes and sports injury recovery.
I design and implement exercise programmes for a range of individual clients by collecting and analysing client information to ensure the effectiveness of personal exercise programmes. I employ appropriate motivational strategies to achieve this.
Understanding someone’s goals and motivations then tailoring their fitness journey so it aligns with these to develop positive habits that will last long after we have finished training together.
“After 6 weeks of training I significantly notice I am walking around with great posture day to day. I can already start to see the physical changes in my chest, arms, back and shoulders! Furthermore, I can say I feel much better about my body which makes me feel more confident about myself”
Throughout the 6 week programme Lee would always talk about the mindset and positivity which I found to be a big influence on me. It made the training much more enjoyable than just focusing on how many reps you could do!” – T.W at March ’17
I am very passionate about fitness and love training in a gym environment. I have been training in martial arts and weightlifting and, in the last three years, focused on circuit training and power lifting where I’ve found a love for strength and conditioning.
I have trained many competition-level athletes and constantly look for ways to enhance my knowledge of health and fitness. My philosophy is that long-term goals are attained by smaller achievable targets.

Ryan trained for six months to be ready for an MMA (mix martial arts) competition. Not only did he feel much stronger and confident, he also won the tournament! Congratulations Ryan!
